Choosing The Right Super Fund

Choosing a super fund or car insurance might be very confusing. There are lot of Industry Super Fund trusts in Australia , but few organisations are dedicated to each industry. Suppose  if you are working in a health industry HESTA Super Fund is a trust for health care workers, if you are in a retail industry REST is the the trust for this. Similarly, there are various super funds different industries.

Choosing super fund should not be a very difficult task from now on as the APRA has bought out a rule which states that Super Options must be a simple, low-cost super option offering a regulated set of features – to help people more easily compare super funds. And also there must be one option which has no entry fees or commissions.

Also while comparing different super funds , ask yourself few basic questions like how much will this super fund cost me, what are the returns like, what member benefits are offered and few other question as mentioned on the HESTA website.

Also there is a fee comparison calculator available on this website for you to compare fees, superannuation calculator which helps you calculate how much super you will be left with after your retirement and a salary sacrifice calculator which tells you how much money you need to sacrifice from your salary to lead a comfortable life after your retirement.
